About The Project
Our world is constantly changing, and it is filled with a wide variety of people from diverse cultures with rich histories. Increasing interdependence and connections often bring us in contact with people and cultures we do not understand, which can breed fear and intolerance. Countries, religions, political and cultural groups, and even individuals wage propaganda wars against others, and citizens learn and emulate these practices to the detriment of all. Learning to live with and respect others’ cultures and backgrounds is important and necessary. The need for this project is through using art as a model for intercultural dialogue to develop a sense of community and belonging. Through art, the project aims to improve the intercultural dialogue and use it as a tool for the prevention of conflicts by enhancing the respect for human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.
