About The Project
The main idea to carry out the youth exchange ‘Young Digital Nomads’ came from a group of young people involved in our activities. They expressed interest in developing their digital competencies and learning digital tools that they can use in the job-seeking process. Moreover, they asked for an opportunity to address the topic of safety in the online space and pointed out the negative impact of social media on youth development. Once we drafted the project idea, we approached several organizations with whom we have established contacts. They expressed their interest in the topic, and together we prepared this project to address key issues relevant to youth in today’s digital world.
Objectives of the Project:
To increase understanding of young people on the challenges linked to personal safety in digital space and to develop their competencies to stay safe while online
To explore the connection between the digital world, digital competencies, and employment—how to use digital media effectively to present ourselves and find job opportunities
To promote the use of digital tools and online platforms as tools for self-learning and developing personal and professional competencies
To educate young people on how to be present online in a safe way and how to reduce the negative effects of the digital world and online media
To increase the digital competencies of young people, enabling them to use digital platforms effectively for job seeking and self-development
To raise awareness among young people about the digital framework for citizens provided by the European Union
